Welcome to Boards & Beyond!

Boards & Beyond supports medical students with on-demand video libraries and question banks designed to build a solid foundation of understanding that goes beyond memorization. Students in the US and around the globe use Boards & Beyond subscriptions to supplement their classes and prepare for board exams, core clerkships, and successful careers.

Boards & Beyond products include:

  • Step 1-Preclinical provides an online virtual curriculum to supplement your M1 and M2 coursework and build your foundation in all pre-clinical subjects. Instead of buzzwords and mnemonics, we emphasize understanding of the basic and clinical sciences, so you can STUDY SMARTER for success in medical school and on board exams. As a member, you will have access to more than 440 videos and more than 2300 USMLE-style questions, as well as progress tracking, custom quizzes and playlists, and slide PDFs. 
  • If you are preparing for Step 1, you can use Boards & Beyond with the confidence of an “A” rating from First Aid for the USMLE Step 1. Many students annotate in First Aid as they watch, using the page references listed with each video to follow along. 
  • Step 2-3-Clinical expands your foundation into clinical topics, including in-depth discussions of diagnosis and treatment that will help you excel during clinical rotations and on the USMLE Step 2 CK and Step 3 exams. Dr. Ryan helps you understand the connections between the mechanisms you studied before and the treatment decisions you will make as a doctor. As a member, you will have access to more than 260 videos and more than 1300 USMLE-style questions, as well as progress tracking, custom quizzes and playlists, and slide PDFs.
  • Clinical Confidence bridges the transition from learning to the real-world application of your knowledge. Members have access to more than 100 videos in the Hospital Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and OB/GYN collections. These videos walk you through the kind of details that never show up in tests or board exams so you can feel confident and prepared when it’s time to treat your first patients and work as part of the team in a hospital setting. 
  • OMM (Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine) Series is designed to be used as a companion to our existing Step 1 and Step 2-3 collections. The OMM Series is specifically tailored to DO students who are preparing for both the USMLE and COMLEX exams. Created by Lauren Davis, DO, who is Board certified in both osteopathic and neuromusculoskeletal medicine, the OMM Series comprises of 22 lecture videos and almost 9 hours of instruction.
