Onboarding Landing Page: Faculty & Students

Signing Up and Linking Your Accounts

To seamlessly access content and navigate between First Aid Forward and Boards & Beyond, users must sign up separately in both sites for an account with their same institutional email address. If users do not sign up for an account in both sites with the same institutional email address, then they will not gain access to the integrated experience between First Aid Forward and Boards & Beyond.

Faculty and students should use the registration instructions provided by their institutional administrator to access the subscriptions and register for an account separately in both First Aid Forward and Boards & Beyond. Users may refer to McGraw Hill's LibGuide on how to register for an account in First Aid Forward and Boards & Beyond here but may need to reach out to their institution for more information and any needed access codes.

If users are experiencing difficulties logging into Boards & Beyond, such as an "Invalid Credentials" pop-up, users are advised to reset their password and accept the updated Terms of Use to login again.

After resetting their Boards & Beyond password, if users see an additional pop-up about having a McGraw Hill account tied to their institutional email address, users must select "Continue" and "Forgot Password" again which will take them to a McGraw Hill webpage for resetting their McGraw Hill password. This password can be the same one used when resetting their Boards & Beyond password and will become their password for logging into their First Aid Forward account.

Troubleshooting

  • I tried creating an account, but I see a yellow pop-up that says “This email is already registered.”
  • This means you already have a Boards & Beyond account with your institutional email address. To fix this:
  1. Sign into your existing Boards & Beyond account
  2. Go to "My Profile"
  3. Change your institutional email address to a personal email address
  4. Follow the steps again to create an account. You will then be able to create a new account with your institutional email (which you need to do to be affiliated with your institution's prepaid subscription)
  • It's not working! First Aid Forward and Boards & Beyond aren't linking.
  • Did you create a new Boards & Beyond account using your institutional email? You need to do this even if you already have a Boards & Beyond account to enable the integration.
  • I lost access to my account!
  • Never fear! Your account is still active, but you may have lost your connection to your institutional subscription. Sign in using the on- or off- campus link in the registration instructions provided previously (or also if remote and if applicable, sign into the VPN first and then sign into Boards & Beyond using the on campus link in the registration instructions).
  • I have a different problem.
  • If the above Q&A does not address your needs and/or you have a different issue, please refer to our FAQs or email customersuccess@mheducation.com.
