AccessScience in the Research Cycle

It Starts with an Idea

lightbulb iconChoose a topic that you're interested in

Think of something relevant to you, that you're genuinely curious about, and that you'll enjoy learning more about.

Keep it relevant

Read the assignment carefully and make sure the topic you choose meets your instructor's requirements.

Find the question

What specifically are you trying to answer or address through your research? What kinds of information will you need to collect to craft an informed answer?  Having a specific research question in mind helps to focus your searching and determine if the sources you find are relevant for your paper.
